How the AION TempShield™ Works

The TempShield wearable thermometer is empowered by a body temperature prediction algorithm developed by AION Biosystems™ that operates on the principles of human thermo-regulation, supported by cutting-edge data analytics and machine learning techniques.

By leveraging these physiological principles, our algorithm delivers accurate, real-time predictions of body temperature, enhancing the effectiveness of health monitoring.

Through continuous data integration and analysis, our algorithm can detect changes in body temperature, allowing for early detection of potential health concerns.

Setting up the AION TempShield™

Prepare the Chest

Select area on left or right upper chest.
If needed, trim hair to ensure good contact with skin.
Clean and dry skin prior to application.

Apply our Tape on Device

Adhere to Chest

Avoid stretching adhesive tape when applying it to skin.
Place adhesive side of tape on chest, then firmly press tape against skin to secure it.

Tear at minimum a three-inch strip from the tape roll.
Place the adhesive tape over the device as shown above.

Follow these instructions on how to correctly apply the device.

Temperature Home Screen

The Temperature Screen shows the latest temperature measurement and TempShield battery level.

The device sends temperature readings approximately every 5 minutes.

Last Recorded Temperature

Last Recorded Temperature

The last recorded temperature will display here. You can toggle between viewing your temperature in Fahrenheit and Celsius.

Battery Level

The current TempShield Battery life is displayed on the top left.

When you see the 'Battery is low' notification the device must be replaced by contacting customer support.

Date & Time of Last Temperature Reading

View when the last updated temperature was taken.
The date and time is visible for the last reading.

Log an Activity

Add activities that you can track in your temperature history such as eating, drinking, showering, and any physical activities that may affect your core body temperature.

Log an Oral Temperature Reading

You may also track oral temperature measurements with a personal thermometer. Oral temperature readings will appear in the temperature history with a white circle icon.

Install the AION TempShield App

Install the AION TempShield App on your phone by downloading it from the app store.

Scan the QR Code to download the app.

Pair the AION TempShield™

After installing the AION TempShield App, you can connect your device to your smartphone for real-time temperature monitoring.

On the "Connect Your Device" screen, tap "Connect TempShield" to begin the process of pairing the device.

Tap the device to your phone

The "Ready to Scan" message will appear on the screen.

At this time, tap the back of your phone to the TempShield.

Android: tap the middle back

Allow up to 10 minutes for your temperature to appear after you connect your device.

Once Connected, the startup screen will appear

Tracking your Temperature

You can view your temperature history in the in the history tab.

You are able to set your temperature threshold for your temperature measurements.

When your body temperature exceeds the threshold value for a high temperature reading, it is marked with a red dot.

Temperatures below the threshold are marked as low temperature readings with a blue dot.

View your measurements and overall temperature data.

You can share your temperature data history in an exported csv file with family, friends, and medical professionals.
